Accessibility Statement

Pure Patient™ is committed to making purepatient.com usable for as many people as possible, including visitors who browse with assistive technology such as screen readers, screen magnifiers, speech input, or a keyboard alone.

Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) set the standard for making web content more accessible to people with disabilities. This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. “Partially conformant” means that while most of the site meets the standard, some content does not yet fully conform. The gaps we are aware of are listed below.

What we have done

  • Pages are built with semantic headings, landmarks, and lists, so screen readers announce the structure of each page correctly.
  • Meaningful images carry text alternatives, and decorative images are marked so assistive technology skips them.
  • Every field on our contact form has a visible, programmatically associated label, and validation errors are given as text rather than by colour alone.
  • Pages reflow to a single column on small screens without horizontal scrolling.
  • Body text, headings, and form messaging are checked against the WCAG AA contrast minimums.
  • The site declares its language, so screen readers use the correct pronunciation.

Known limitations

We would rather be candid about where we fall short than claim more than we can support. We are aware of the following and are working to resolve them:

  • The looping video on our home page cannot be paused. It plays automatically, has no sound, and is decorative, but we do not yet offer a control to stop it. Visitors who find movement distracting can use their browser or operating system settings to reduce motion in the meantime.
  • There is no “skip to main content” link. Visitors using a keyboard must tab through the navigation on every page before reaching the main content.
  • Some specialty cards do not show a clear keyboard focus outline. Keyboard users can reach and activate every card, but the currently focused card may be hard to identify.
  • A few buttons and status badges fall short of the contrast minimum. Our primary buttons and the coloured status badges on the home page sit slightly below the required ratio for small text.
  • Scheduling is provided by a third party. The booking calendar on our confirmation page is supplied by Calendly, and its accessibility is outside our direct control. If you have trouble booking, please call us and we will arrange your appointment directly.

Tell us about a problem

If you encounter a barrier on this site, or need information from it in a different format, please get in touch. We treat accessibility reports as a priority and aim to respond within two business days.

It helps us if you can tell us the page address, what you were trying to do, and the browser or assistive technology you were using.

How we assess this site

Pure Patient™ assessed this website by self-evaluation, using a combination of manual keyboard testing, automated contrast and structure checks, and review against the WCAG 2.1 Level AA success criteria. The site has not been audited by an independent third party.

This statement was prepared on 1 October 2026 and reflects the site as it stood on that date.
